Develop hardware and software inventory, run a security scan on the network and PC’s looking for possible security vulnerabilities, review results and proposed fixes with the client, apply the fixes, and run a final security scan to confirm the vulnerabilities have been removed.
Access the physical security of your computing environment, look for vulnerabilities in the operating systems you are running on your machines, review the network configuration (including password policies), review backup policies, review polices on spare parts/hardware management, review power protection (including surge protection and battery backup), and review virus protection on in your environment. The information we gather is gathered and presented to you in a report. The report includes suggestions to make your computing environment more secure, safe, reliable, and redundant.
Review your backup and recovery polices and procedures. Summarize the review with the client and propose improvements if necessary. Implement backup-recovery systems. Run through a recovery procedure to validate the backup and recovery process.
